Susan has been a movement practitioner for as long as she can remember. Starting at 3 as a child dancer she found Yoga as a natural progression in her teens. She then travelled studying other cultures and different practices for 10 years during which time she received Yoga Nidra.

On her return to Glasgow in 1997 she started practicing Iyengar Yoga with Fiona Morton, she then introduced her to Shandor Remete and Emma Belnaves of the School of Shadow Yoga. These teachers where deeply inspiring and she continued practicing with the school for a further 8 years. More recently she studied Sadhguru’s programs with the Isha Foundation.

The classes she offers is a combination of all her learnings from the Southern Indian Traditions. Susan concentrates a lot on moving from the feet, rhythm, breath and softening into the body in order to find the true strength of the energetic system. She uses sound (mantra) and hand gestures (mudras) in the hope of yoking all aspects of self.

Susan is also trained in leading sound and chanting circles, meditation and visualisation, emotional/thought field therapy, colour and art therapy. She weaves some of these learnings through her classes.

One of her biggest body of learning to date has been with the School of Movement Medicine where she qualified as a professional and is working as an apprentice teacher. Susan is now offering Movement Medicine Mondays at Yama every Monday at 6.30-8pm and you are all welcome.
